a seasoned and delightful music educator with a world of musical knowledge to share. With over 20 years of experience, Marcela is a wonderful multi-instrumental teacher, proficient in guiding students through the realms of Piano, Singing, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Drums/Percussion, and more. Her passion for teaching knows no age limits, as she works with students as young as 3 years old, all the way to seasoned adults.
Marcela's expertise extends beyond traditional teaching methods; she excels in using music therapy techniques and is currently pursuing her music therapy degree and certification. Specializing in connecting with neurodivergent students through music, Marcela creates a safe and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
Beyond her role as an educator, Marcela boasts a diverse musical background. Her experience as a musical theater director, working on numerous productions, enriches her ability to help students with audition preparation and explore the world of musical performance.
Marcela is equally adept at collaborating with homeschool parents, offering tailored programs to suit individual needs. Students flock to her music studio, a treasure trove of instruments, including pianos, keyboards, drum sets, percussion, guitars, ukuleles, and more, fostering a space of creativity and musical exploration.
With Marcela, students may delve into the art of composition, receive music theory tutoring, and embrace the joys of musical expression. As a performer and singer-songwriter herself, she brings a unique perspective to her teaching, inspiring students to find their own musical voice.
Marcela's experience as a liturgical musician and cantor in church, leading choirs, and singing operatically, adds a diverse dimension to her musical journey. A sweet and supportive presence, Marcela nurtures her students, creating a positive and motivating atmosphere to thrive in.
